The Karl Jobst video was arguably so generous in interpreting grey areas in dream's favor that it failed to offer an unbiased portrayal of the situation, IMO.Īnd even if that weren't true, dream's behavior throughout the ordeal does not match up with that excuse, unless he temporarily "forgot" that he had used mods that specifically increased drop rates at one point, which is an insultingly unbelievable excuse to anyone who's messed with modded Minecraft. A fake record he excreted, and his video was deleted, causing users to argue and shame. 15:46:36 There once was a man who runs games, on a stream with "Done Quick" in its name. 16:14:03 A post about a game's water physics turns turbulent with a flood of accusations about bots and furry bait Her well painted nipples made thread-ending ripples, but her race caused the lamest conflicts. 07:01:27 There once were some users on /r/Pics, who argued about dark-skin model chicks. The vids were deleted, making users feel defeated, and angrily asking "Whats Next?" 07:32:53 There once was a Hamster of X, which hosted some videos of sex. The mods quickly banned, but fell for his plan, when proved they were all just bad leaders. 02:04:11 There once was a real clever cheater, who was bragging to all the Sub readers. Along came a guy, who said it's a cutie pie, but others insist it's a threat.

Bans are cued up with censorship allegations listed under favorites (Although of course I'm sure they're restricted by the kinds of categories runners submit, how time scheduling works, and so on.04:32:13 The infamous gallowboob allegedly posts a Netflix ad, but forgets to pay off members of HailCorporate. Oh yeah, for sure, I think they should try to be varied in the categories for specific games they show. I wanna see some non-glitched/OOB runs of those! My main problem is that that's virtually all they ever show of the Metroid Prime and Dark Souls games. It's kind of a fuzzy area, of course, because if a runner can explain tech well but then can't actually execute it in the game, that's also not super-helpful.īasically what I'm saying is that all runner should submit their runs to me first, and I will tell them if they're good or not. Likewise, I would (frankly) prefer runners and/or couches who explain in detail what weird tech and strats are being used rather than runners who just silently stare at the screen and get a WR.

I'd much rather see a fun run that wouldn't even get 10th place in terms of speed than a top-tier mega-speed out-of-bounds run where you just see smeared polygons on screen for most of the time. I do think, however, that for an event like AGDQ/SGDQ, entertainment and engagement value is way more important than speed or efficiency. I think it's amazing that speedrunning has developed so much as a past-time and a community that we can have all of these varied categories, and that they all see play. I think there should be 100% no-glitch runs as well as mega-buggy bonkers runs. Now my position is basically: it's all good. As I watched more and more speedruns, I started to recognize that there are a great deal many glitch exploits that are incredibly difficult to execute (and arguably require more skill than playing the game "as intended"), and can be a lot of fun to watch. I used to get really annoyed by glitch speedruns, and (somehow!) decided that the use of glitches was less skillful or something.
